Our New year started with a visit from my parents and this is the first time my dad got to hold Hazel! We have had kind of a crap time since my parents got here, just in that we have all had the flu, we've had 2 trips to the ER (first: my dad-thought it was a heart problem-turned out to be acid reflux and second: me with kidney stones. PAIN!). Then our heater died on the weekend to the tune of...well--I'll spare you the gory details but it wasn't cheap! This was all happened over about 4 days. Are we having fun yet??? Sheeeeesh!
Anyway-the highlight of the week was the Hartman's baby blessing, it was so cool and Andy was so cute and sweet. Then ranking right up there with that was the after Christmas shopping! It gives me such joy! Got some awesome stuff and great deals!

Love the Chloe outfit! You may not love the outfits, but this may lead to more independence, which is USUALLY great! I am thinking God kept holding back all the crisis until your parents could be there to help out! Hopefully things will be great this next week for your family!!! You've got to dish on your great deals, we all need to hear about your After-Christmas scores!
That picture of Hazel and your Dad is precious! Pictures do speak a thousand words! Love the expression in your Dad's eyes! Speaks volumes of love!
One more last thought, soon your house will be practically brand new. New yard, new floors, new heating, is plumbing next? Sure hope not! Just teasing!
Jen! Kidney Stones!!!?? I am so sorry! But I am glad your parents are in town! Does life EVER slow down? It seems to me it just keeps speeding up! Love your blog!

What timing on the heater- could it have been any colder?!

NOTHING WAS ON SALE and as a matter of fact NOTHING IS STILL ON SALE!!! all the decorations are still sitting there full priced...oh well so sad
